Ingredients
- Maida/All-purpose flour - 1 cup
- Butter - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp
- Egg - 3 no.s
- Cocoa powder - 1 tbsp
- Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Vanilla essence - 1/4 tsp
- Hot water - 4 tbsp
Method
- Pre-heat the oven for 5 mins.
- Dilute cocoa powder in hot water and make it a lump-free mix.
- In a mixing bowl, add all ingredients and beat well until it is creamy and fluffy.
- Divide the batter into two equal portions.
- Add cocoa mix into one portion and incorporate it well.
- Grease a bundt pan and add the cocoa and the vanilla alternatively.
- Use a skewer and give it a quick swirl to create a marbled effect.
- Bake it at 180 c for about 20-30 mins or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
